I'm back from the 12th USENIX Security Sumposium (Security'03) in Washington DC, where I presented my work with Professor Somesh Jha on malicious code detection. A new article by Steven Robinson from Security Focus is now linked on my IT Law page. It is the 3^rd part of the series on U.S. information security law.

My paper on virus detection (titled "Static Analysis of Executables to Detect Malicious Patterns") was accepted at the USENIX Security 2003 symposium. Look for my presentation in Washington D.C., August 4-8, 2003!

My paper on binary code rewriting (titled "Opening Pandora's Box: Using Binary Code Rewrite to Pypass License Checks") is published now as a Technical Report at the Computer Sciences Department of University of Wiscosin, Madison. Thanks go to co-author Tevfik Kosar for getting the TR out.
